Museum Storytime – Cowboys

Date: Friday, November 7, 2025

Time: 10:30 a.m. EST

Location: The Learning Center, Birthplace of Country Music Museum

Cost: Free and open to the public

Theme: Cowboys

Join us in the museum’s Learning Center for our monthly Museum Storytime program. Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will gather on the first Friday of each month for a music- or Appalachia-related storybook, a tune or two by WBCM Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick, and a related activity or coloring sheet. The craft will be creating paper mountains. 

Books that will be featured at Storytime include:

  • Cowboy Bunnies by Christine Loomis
  • The Cowboy ABC by Chris Demarest
  • Cowboy Dreams by Dayal Kaur Khalsa

Date: Friday, October 3, 2025

Time: 10:30 a.m. EST

Location: The Learning Center, Birthplace of Country Music Museum

Cost: Free and open to the public

Theme: Halloween

Join us in the museum’s Learning Center for our monthly Museum Storytime program. Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will gather on the first Friday of each month for a music- or Appalachia-related storybook, a tune or two by WBCM Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick, and a related activity or coloring sheet. The craft will be creating is pipe cleaner pumpkins.

Books that will be featured at Storytime include:

  • The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda D. Williams (Author), Megan Lloyd (Illustrator)

Cost: Free and open to the public

Theme: Books & Appalachian History

Join us in the museum’s Learning Center for our monthly Museum Storytime program. Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will gather on the first Friday of each month for a music- or Appalachia-related storybook, a tune or two by WBCM Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick, and a related activity or coloring sheet. The craft will be creating folded paper books.

Books that will be featured at Storytime include:

  • Miss Dorothy and Her Bookmobile by Gloria Houston (Author), Susan Condie Lamb (Illustrator)

Theme: Country Music History

Join us in the museum’s Learning Center for our monthly Museum Storytime program. Aimed at toddler-age children and their grown-ups, we will gather on the first Friday of each month for a music- or Appalachia-related storybook, a tune or two by WBCM Radio Bristol show host Ella Patrick, and a related activity or coloring sheet. The craft will be creating a paint stick guitar.

Books that will be featured at Storytime include:

  • The Long Gone Lonesome History of Country Music by Bret Bertholf
